Costumed PortraitI recently discovered that the gallery in town hosts free drawing events, so this Thursday I went along to take a look. I got the chance to sketch a figure in costume, something that was remarkably tricky to do! I guess I’m used to unclothed figures …

These were drawn using a Micron pen. Then I added the colour in Photoshop, again using a Kyle T. Webster brush – this time his watercolour one.

Tone Study


I had great intentions of working over my Christmas break, but that didn’t really happen – at least not while I was at home. As I’ve still a few days before school starts again I thought I’d catch up with some of the things I meant to do.

This is a tone study, taking my character and background designs and trying to figure out approximately what it’ll look like once it’s all coloured and composited together.
