I have been snowed under with a job, Christmas, and a new niece (all very exciting but quite hard work) and that's meant my life drawing from last year has been put aside until now. First up are drawings of model Gina, from back in November!
Life Drawing with Dog, 13th November
Nat and her dog Lapa were wonderful models at last week's life drawing session. I drew Lapa quite a lot, as you can see below ... That's me caught up!
Life Drawing with Cello, 30th October
Some life drawing sketches of Sarah with her cello. I struggled a bit with the conte pastel, so I abandoned it for the pencil. The cello was difficult to draw! I've got one more week to catch up on which I'll post tomorrow.
Life Drawing, 16th October
Some very late sketches, modelled by Susan. I have two more weeks of drawing to post which I'll upload over the next two days.
Life Drawing, 9th October
The second day back at life drawing I felt more relaxed. Maxime modelled, holding some lovely and difficult poses. I'm still behind with uploading drawings from the 16th, but I'll try to post those next weekend.
Life Drawing, 2nd October
I'm a bit behind with posting my life drawings! The first evening back Clara modelled.
Action Gestures
I meant to post these last weekend, but forgot. I drew them last month, using the Bodies in Motion site, beginning with 30 second poses and gradually giving myself more time. The site is excellent for capturing poses that a model would never be able to hold.
Sketches at the Museum

Face Studies
These drawings are from last week, but it took me until now to cherry-pick the best to upload. They're all studies from Bodies in Motion; most of them are of neutral expressions but some of the short poses (between 30 seconds and 2 minutes) were of a variety of...
