I wanted to loosen up a bit so I went to https://line-of-action.com/ and spent about 20 minutes drawing 30 second bird poses. Here are my favourites!
A surprisingly clear evening!
I had an amazing time in LA, but didn't draw the sky because it always looked like this. There were no clouds, there was no rain, there was nothing but sunshine.Returning to Scotland was a bit of a shock. It's cold, wet and grey. But our sky is much more interesting.
Here's a little sneaky peek at a project I'm working on right now! I'm having fun with the simple palette and design. I'm building all the characters, props and backgrounds in Illustrator and am animating them in Flash.

Another dramatic evening sky. I'm really pleased with how the watercolour effect looks in this - it's all digital! If you use Photoshop, I really recommend Kyle T Webster's watercolour brushes (and indeed all his other brushes): check them out here.
