Drawing Tinkerbell was a good challenge! This All In Gesture class took place near the beginning of the summer, but I just now got around to drawing from it. The poses were excellent, and it was fun trying to capture the animated character rather than the model.
All In Gesture – Ahsoka Tano
I drew these back in June - now they're finally seeing the light of day. Ahsoka is a Star Wars character I mainly know through The Mandalorian as I haven't watched any of the Clone Wars TV shows, so I was aiming more for the live-action look.
All In Gesture – Caveman
I loved this class. Lots of wonderful (and challenging) poses from Ralph!
All In Gesture – Spider-Man
This class is from the archives. I've been meaning to go back to it for a while!
All In Gesture – Mermaid
Christine made a wonderful mermaid model! I've missed MerMay, but better late than never ...
All In Gesture – Leia
As a nod to Star Wars day earlier in May, the All In Gesture theme was Leia. I enjoyed the costume for this one - much simpler, and more iconic!
All In Gesture – Hercules
For this session I chose to draw digitally, just to shake things up. I like getting away from the screen every once in a while, but sometimes it's hard to adjust to real media given I spend almost all my time drawing onto my Cintiq. Ralph was a fantastic model! I...
All In Gesture – Legolas
I struggled a lot in this class and was only beginning to warm up by the end. The variety of emotions and poses was good fun! In my head I was imagining Legolas at various ages - young and slightly pensive to older and battle-experienced.
All In Gesture – Mary Poppins
At times I think I was drawing the costume more than the character! Drawing more subtle poses was a great challenge.
