I've been unable to go to the life drawing sessions for the last couple of weeks, so I did some drawing from poses online. They're not ideal (although the model does stay perfectly still) but I do like being able to do the very short poses. The hands below were done...
I did these sketches last month but only got the chance to colour them today. Most of them are very quick gesture drawings, around 30 seconds. The portrait was drawn in about 5 minutes. I think the fish came out particularly well!

Clearing through my files today I found this sketch I did in Vancouver. It was a nice warm day so I went to the beach to doodle and draw. Today Edinburgh is cold and rainy and feels more like February than June, so I coloured my old sketch to remind me of warmer days...
