Liffey was the Irish Setter my family owned while I was growing up. She was a wonderful companion, if a little odd at times. I must have doodled these caricatures of her at some point last year, but I’d forgotten about them until now.
I’m thinking about illustrating a short story about Liffey using this style. I like how haphazard I can be using this digital pastel brush! This drawing is of Twoey and Liffey.
A quick doodle I did for Fathers’ Day. Elsa is our new Border Collie puppy. She likes to chew on things! Sadly, not only her own things … I used Kyle T. Webster’s Pastel Palooza brush, and was so impressed I’ve preordered his dry media brush set. You can find his brushes here.
I’d like to work in this style more. I think I can be constricted by my line work sometimes and it was nice just using it as a base to work from!
