It was a quiet night at ATYN on Tuesday, but there were some great poses! Though it took me a while to warm up, I was pleased with my drawings.

Sketches from yesterday’s class. I had a lot of fun drawing the short poses. ATYN has recently added another model in Edinburgh, meaning there are short poses before and after the break.
Life drawing! I still haven’t managed to get any more newsprint, but I used an A3 pad of layout paper instead and it worked well. (I like using Conte pastels on smooth, thin paper, which is extraordinarily hard to find.) Plus, it didn’t wrinkle up when I was taking pictures. I’ve now had my final life drawing class at Aardman. I need to find one I can go along to regularly – it’s such a great discipline.
