Rapunzel from Tangled is such a fun character. The addition of a frying pan prop was an excellent touch! I felt out of my depth with this one - I may need to redo the class sometime. But despite some wonky drawings I enjoyed taking part!
All In Gesture – Hobbit
As I love The Lord of the Rings I had to draw this session, even though it's a little ways back in the All In Gesture archives! The hobbit is a little bit of Bilbo, Frodo, and Sam.
All In Gesture – Cruella
Another session from the archives! Some of my drawings lean more towards the Cruella of the animated movie, others more towards the model. Either way the poses were great fun. She's a wonderfully mad villain.
All In Gesture – Tinkerbell
Drawing Tinkerbell was a good challenge! This All In Gesture class took place near the beginning of the summer, but I just now got around to drawing from it. The poses were excellent, and it was fun trying to capture the animated character rather than the model.
Jousting!
Back in 2020 I was determined to get to one of the jousting events near me during the late spring ... we all know how that turned out. Now that events are back on I still haven't made it along, but one of my colleagues did! Here's a sketch from some of the footage he...
All In Gesture – Ahsoka Tano
I drew these back in June - now they're finally seeing the light of day. Ahsoka is a Star Wars character I mainly know through The Mandalorian as I haven't watched any of the Clone Wars TV shows, so I was aiming more for the live-action look.
All In Gesture – Caveman
I loved this class. Lots of wonderful (and challenging) poses from Ralph!
All In Gesture – Spider-Man
This class is from the archives. I've been meaning to go back to it for a while!
All In Gesture – Geisha
This was a challenging session. It forced me to think about the overall shape of the pose and work within that shape, rather than rely on dynamic and energetic movements which clearly show where arms and legs are.
