Life drawing! I still haven’t managed to get any more newsprint, but I used an A3 pad of layout paper instead and it worked well. (I like using Conte pastels on smooth, thin paper, which is extraordinarily hard to find.) Plus, it didn’t wrinkle up when I was taking pictures.
The portrait below, the feet and the pose above the feet were drawn in pencil. All the others were drawn with Conte.
