All In Gesture – Hercules

For this session I chose to draw digitally, just to shake things up. I like getting away from the screen every once in a while, but sometimes it’s hard to adjust to real media given I spend almost all my time drawing onto my Cintiq. Ralph was a fantastic model! I loved the variety ofContinue reading “All In Gesture – Hercules”

All In Gesture – Legolas

I struggled a lot in this class and was only beginning to warm up by the end. The variety of emotions and poses was good fun! In my head I was imagining Legolas at various ages – young and slightly pensive to older and battle-experienced.

A trip to the Museum

I’m back in Edinburgh for a few months, working as a Clean Up Artist (if you don’t know what that is, here’s an example) on a feature film I can’t talk about yet. It’s a really exciting project and I’m looking forward to sharing more about that, hopefully soon. One of the tricky things withContinue reading “A trip to the Museum”

Lunge and Baseball Swing Exercises

Animation by myself, characters provided by Aardman. I’m now about to begin my fourth week on the Aardman course. This video’s made of the assignments I completed over the last two weeks. The lunge is the first character animation I’ve done in Maya. I had lots of helpful comments on how to improve it, andContinue reading “Lunge and Baseball Swing Exercises”
